Headmaster – Roger Moses
Roger has been Headmaster of Wellington College since 1995 and maintains an overview of the International Students' Programme. He is closely involved with marketing activities and meetings with parents and agents. He meets with the international students as a group on a regular basis.

International Student Manager – Michael Ellett
Michael does all the marketing (regularly travelling overseas, occasionally with the Headmaster) and liaising with agents and meeting parents, enrols the students and is closely involved with their orientation and subject placement.  He works with the International Dean and Homestay Manager to ensure the provision of quality services to all international students, monitors attendance and meets regularly with the Headmaster to discuss enrolment, policy issues, budget and Code Compliance.

Dean of International Students and HOD ESOL – Diane Smithson
Diane oversees the academic programme offered to our international students.  When students first arrive she evaluates their level of English and guides them into appropriate courses of study.  At regular intervals the student’s progress in English is reassessed.  The ESOL department offers students small and friendly classes in which to develop their language skills, subject support and the opportunity to sit international English examinations or University pre-requisites such as IELTS.

English Language Learning Teachers
Mary Maddren (full-time)
English Language Learning is offered to International and NESB students according to their needs. There are beginners and more advanced classes, including special NCEA level 1 and level 2 programmes.

Homestay Manager and Secretary to International Student Office  –  Kathi Scott
Employed full-time by Wellington College, Kathi selects, vets and arranges accommodation with New Zealand families for the international students.  She meets the student at the airport, introduces him to the homestay family and supervises all aspects of the student’s homestay.
Kathi works with the Manager to answer enquiries and make Offers of Place, liaise with Immigration New Zealand, financial matters, responsible for issuing invoices, receipting, and any other monetary matters, student insurance details and database management.

Guidance and Counselling – Jane Sun and Feng Yu, are teaching staff who are native language speakers and who provide translation assistance and guidance. Other native language counsellors from the community are also used.
